Fall 2008 during Morning Edition
The current broadcast Radio Rookies will air in the Fall 2008 during Morning Edition on WNYC and will be available for downloading. The broadcast Radio Rookies Brooklyn workshop is being held in partnership with the High School for Global Citizenship (HSGC) in Crown Heights. HSGC strives to create a learning environment that encourages, “Peace, Justice, Sustainability, Diversity, and Democratic Participation.” The newest Rookies stories will explore why parents work so much, child abuse, literacy, not reaching one’s potential, and being different. Stay tuned.

Hear stories from a group of students in the South Bronx about the presidential election. During a month-long workshop, the students produced a series of stories about new voters, disengaged citizens, the Iraq war, and Obama as a role model for young minorities. Monday, Feb. 25 - Friday, Feb 29 during Morning Edition
The latest broadcast Radio Rookies series “Out On My Own: Stories of Living Away from One’s Parents” aired Feb. 25-Feb 29th during Morning Edition on WNYC and will be available for downloading here. Their courageous stories explore foster care, making it as legally emancipated minor, and life in a group home. The stories are also available via podcast.
